"Madame Fathia Nkrumah, wife of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, was a host to over 1,000 children from various schools in Accra municipality at a light refreshment at Flagstaff House, Accra, on Wednesday (21-9-60) as part of the National Founder's Day Celebrations. Madame Fathia accompanied by the three-member Commission responsible for the functions of the Osagyefo, Sir Arku Korsah, Chief Justice, Hon. Kojo Botsio, Minister of Agriculture and Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, and Hon. E.K. Bensah Minister of Works and Housing were introduced to the children, by the Minister of Education, Mr. A.J. Dowunah-Hammond. Picture shows the scene at the Flagstaff House during the ceremony.
