This painting talks about a grandfather, Kwaku, seated on the left and a grandson, Osei Tutu, seated right. Connected by medical profession and a freemason guild. A yellow freemason souvenir sits on the top left corner of the bookshelf, which was presented to grandfather and grandson as brethren who graced a freemason occasion. A painting of grandfather, Kwaku hangs in the background in which his lower part can be seen posed beside a garden chair, a pet cat and some newspapers. In the foreground, he and his grandson, poses with some newspapers and some books in a shelf, which depicts such ardent readers both of them are. They are both clad in royal cloths, and grandfather, Kwaku on the left is wearing 'AKUNI NTOMA', meaning 'CLOTH FOR THE VALIANT(OR THE BRAVE)', whiles grandson, Osei Tutu on the right, is wearing kente and is seated on a metal chair called 'ASIPIM', which symbolizes chieftancy or royalty. ASIPIM is mostly found in royal Ashanti homes or chiefs' palaces.
Kwaku Prempeh happens to be the grandson of King Prempeh I, who was the thirteenth king ruler of the Ashanti kingdom.
