Gallery 1957 is honored to host a retrospective exhibition on the works of Prof. Ablade Glover, a significant figure in Ghana’s modernist and contemporary art scene. Taking place from the 17th of January until the 27th of February, 2019, this exhibition will mark the artist’s 85th birth year, and the quadranscentennial anniversary of the first modern art gallery in Accra, Artist Alliance, established by Prof. Glover. Works displayed will be sourced from the artist’s own collections as well as those of friends and other collectors, including a new body of work specifically for this exhibition.
